This year we were invited to participate in ‘Fresh Air’ which is an established exhibition and the Quenington Sculpture Trust is run by Lucy and David Abel Smith who are collectors of art and contemporary craft and supporters of young artists/makers through providing bursaries.
13 of our second year Crafts students chose to get involved and today they were presenting their ideas so far .. The great news is that all 13 were selected to participate in the exhibition.
EXHIBITION DATES
Exhibition dates are June 16 - July 7th 2013.
.
This was the brief the students were given:
Make work appropriate to your practice, and relating to the environment of the Quenington Old Rectory, of materials robust enough to stand outside for 6 week minimum and eventually be sited permanently outdoors. We are looking for imaginative and experimental ideas and quality of design and craftsmanship. Ideally, works would be for sale or could be made to commission.
