Spoons!

Today we have launched a new brief for the first years. They are currently working on a module called Exploration of Materials, in which they rotate through a variety of workshops to gain knowledge and experience of process and material.

The brief they have been introduced to today allow them to consolidate what they have learned so far, they are to produce a utensil! They need to do lots of research, designing and making.

To show the students some examples of utensils, Melanie Brown, one of our lecturers, has brought in a huge collections of spoons (in the widest sense of the word) from all around the world, from every type of material you can think of!!
