Well, the blacksmiths also have the new brief that explores the concept of utensils, so Mel, Adrian and I spoke to the first years at the forge about what a utensil could be. Mel brought her wonderful spoon collection with her and we spent quite some time looking at them all and discussing how they were made, what their function was and what problem they were solving.
Of course we went into the forge area afterwards, I just took some pictures of the tools that are everywhere!! There is literally a tool of utensil for everything, and I love the idea of multiples, so I could resist photographing them!!
The first years were also just setting their fires up for their session, the first ones in we're Jack, James and Joe!!
